Grecian style pool

We first started off with a retaining wall for the hillside, in order to have a clean space for this Grecian Style pool.  Borders and coping are natural stone along with concrete pavers for all deck surfaces. A last min design change was to add an elevated deck area with room for some outdoor furniture.

With such a large front yard we wanted to create an amazing driveway design using concrete pavers, without making it look like a sea of pavers, we also reclaimed an unusable portion of land by adding a short property line wall, allowing our client to use the space to park his RV and Boat 

Our client's vision was "Modern but not too Modern" the modern focus was  in the pool and spa area while having a transitional feeling for the  patio cover with small hits of modern design look and feel on the L  shaped BBQ shell and columns. We continued our client's goal with  individual concrete slabs for the areas around the pool and larger solid  slabs for the side of the property.   Under the huge 57'X20 solid patio cover, our idea was to have Belgard  Wood Porcelain pavers.

 One of our favorite designs, pool remodel with the addition of two  swim-up bars, one with a sunken in fire pit and sitting area, the other  with a full-size outdoor BBQ kitchen for the commander and chef. 

Inspiration for the open Aluma wood patio cover was borrowed directly from the sand patterns of a Zen Garden rake. We also broke up the landscape design to make it feel there are multiple unique areas, using herringbone paver pattern for the water & fire feature area and underneath the outdoor kitchen / custom-designed patio cover, while using Grana® Paver from Belgard, except for the side of the yards, where we used concrete for a connecting walkway and natural SOD  on the other side.

Our clients’ back yard was suitable for a new pool, but the side yard has the space for the pool size and shape they envisioned. This massive 1400 Sq ft free form pool with NO SPA, along with two medium-size Baja reefs on each end, has all the right curves.

The design of the L shaped BBQ Island was straight forward, our greatest challenge was representing a three (3) material inlay on the outside face and locating a grill, multiple burner & oven combo unit to fit, mission accomplished!

With so much space and no desire for grass or artificial turf. . . it was a struggle to get in the plants that we did and the client is more than happy we kept them from making this a concrete jungle.

 Amazing opportunity to design / renovate this Pasadena, Ca. Spanish  style home, basic landscape design with a focus on providing a 3D  rendering of what the homeowner should expect once project is completed. 

Beautiful new construction home in (Via Verde / Bel Vintage) San Dimas, CA. New drive way with scored concrete and contrasting boarders along with new concrete stairs access to back yard. On the opposite side we have a 3' high retaining wall in order to add a small dining area and outdoor BBQ.

2011 Pasadena Showcase House Pool Remodel

Multiple water features all in one new pool. Staring off at the deep end we have a rock waterfall/grotto and slide with a raised bond bean and spa all nestled into the hillside with a 24" sheer descent. At the shallow end of this 40' X 22' Freeform pool, we have a generously sized Baja shelf for several Ledge Loungers.
